For this production specifically, we seek:
- 5 Male-presenting adult supers to play the role of workers (ex. sailors, servants, photographer), while also lifting and moving heavy objects onstage.
- 2 Male-presenting caucasian youth supers for the part of "Sorrow/Trouble". Please note that applicants for this part of "Sorrow/Trouble" may be asked to audition in person. Further, this part may require late night rehearsals and performances.
Nixon in China - sign up by July 31
For this production specifically, we seek:
8 adult supers (mix of gender) to play the role of citizens and workers in Mao's China, while also lifting and moving heavy objects onstage. Priority will be given to performers of East Asian descent/heritage.
The successful candidates will:
- Be in good physical condition to move heavy set pieces (ex. tables, silks on poles, etc)
- Be musically adept
- Have strong awareness to move in unison as a group
- Be comfortable standing still onstage for prolonged periods of time
